Our Epicurean Club Philosophy
Epicurus (341 - 270 B.C.) was an
ancient Greek philosopher and the founder of the school of philosophy called
Epicureanism. For Epicurus, the purpose of philosophy was to attain a happy,
tranquil life, through the absence of pain and fear, the presence of all
pleasures in life "in moderation" and by living a self-sufficient life
surrounded by friends.
While Epicurus' teachings may have included other areas and principals, the
above are those adopted by The Epicurean Club as being the foundation through
which we can work and socialize together in a synergistic process, thus
achieving our mission.

Our Epicurean Club Mission
To create a "virtual" community of like minded individuals dedicated to
the pursuit of life to its fullest and with mutual benefit provided to others
within the community in the fulfillment of their life dreams and aspirations. To
create true balance in our member's lives through proper fitness, enhanced
health, incredible food, outstanding eclectic wines, social interaction and
humanitarian endeavors.

Achieving an Epicurean Lifestyle in 2008-2009
Hello and welcome to The Epicurean Club's web site. As the Chairman of
the Club and Publisher for our Epicurean Lifestyles, I wish to extend our best
wishes to you as well as for your success and happiness in
2008.
Earlier this year, I was cleaning out my storage closet and came across a box of mics photos from years past. As I looked photos I was reminded of how blessed I
have been in life and how many things I have experienced and seen in my lifetime
that others may never have the benefit of experiencing. This starting the
wheels turning. Then later that day I was shopping and as I passed by the
magazine rack in the grocery store, I noticed a headline on a national magazine.
"The 75 things to do before you die!" Once again, this reminded me of the photos
and all of my great experiences. So, I opened the magazine and started to read
what their writer had come up with as to things to do. All of a sudden it felt
like someone hitting me upside the head with a 2x4 saying.... "This is exactly
what our members need as a simple process to achieve an Epicurean Lifestyle. And
this is something we can help them with!"
During the past few months, as we have been developing a model for our
members to receive all of the benefits offered by our partners, I rented a DVD
called The Bucket List. "See the Link Above for The Epicurean List" This
movie represented another home run hit as to the direction we should be taking
and the process through which we could assist our members in achieving their
life goals.
The process is so simple and so in line with the benefits we have offered for
years that it was a natural for us to incorporate it into our plan for 2008.
So... here we go!

Epicurean List of the things I want to do in life.
Have you ever sat down and thought about your life today and the things
you wish you had done, or the things you always wanted to do? Come on...
everyone has to some degree created a wish list in their mind or on piece of
paper of things they wanted to experience. What if you could write down the top 10
things you want to do in life and have a whole group of people willing to
help you achieve those things, to experience those things. Well, that is
our enhanced mission for 2008/2009 and I am here
to say..... let's get started!
First of all let's take a look at what other people have thought about doing
and experiencing. Select the menu link at the top of this page for The Epicurean
List.
